Health management and basic concepts
From the perspective of health management, the SWS Group believes that the health of its employees is essential for the sustainable development and growth of the company.
In April 2020, we established the "Sumitomo Wiring Systems Group Health Declaration" and are supporting active health promotion among our employees based on the basic policy that "the health of each and every employee is the source of a vibrant company."
Sumitomo Wiring Systems Group Health Declaration
The health of each and every employee is "the foundation of a thriving company."
Furthermore, their health is also indispensable for realizing "Safety is our top priority." It is the desire of both the company and the employees' families that they work in a healthy state, both mentally and physically.
In order to maintain and improve health, it is necessary for employees to raise their own health awareness (health literacy) and act with self-awareness. The SWS Group declares that it will actively support its employees in their efforts to improve their health in order to become a bright, clean, and "energetic company that is worth working for," based on the SWS WAY as its guiding principle.
Health management and activity goals
Based on "health management," we promote the following three activity goals.
Achieving compliance with laws and regulationsEnforcement of the three occupational health controls
Creating a Healthy Workplace (Supporting Health in the Company)Thorough follow-up measures after health checkups (encouragement to seek medical consultation, specific health guidance), strengthening of measures against smoking, strengthening of health management for expatriate employees.
Proactive Health Promotion (Creating Health on Your Own)Implementation of various activities to improve employee health literacy and lifestyle habits

Health management and promotion system
In promoting health management, the Health Managers' Meeting deliberates on activity policies and measures, and the Central Safety and Health Committee (chaired by the director in charge of the safety division and vice-chaired by the director in charge of the health division) usually meets in March each year to make decisions on activity policies and measures.
In addition, we promote health management in cooperation and collaboration with related divisions, labor unions, health insurance societies, and domestic affiliates.

External Evaluation
In March 2025, we were certified as a "Corporation with Excellent Health Management 2025 (Large Enterprise Category) White 500," jointly awarded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi. With this recognition, we have been certified as a "Corporation with Excellent Health Management (Large Enterprise Category)" for eight consecutive years.
