Approval of "non-waterproof soft tape for VOC measure"as 11th environmentally conscious product

"Non-waterproof soft tape for VOC measure" with reduced volatile organic compounds (VOC) has been approved as the 11th environmentally conscious product. Soft tape is used to prevent rattling generated by wiring harnesses due to vibration.
Toluene, a listed VOC, was used for the conventional soft tape as a solvent for adhesive. Using the new soft tape with low VOC, however, reduces the volume of volatile toluene to approximately 1/200 of the conventional tape.
It is expected that the new soft tape will serve as an in-vehicle VOC measure.
