At SWS we have been arranging a global production and sales system in the automobile wiring harness business to improve service for users in Japan and overseas, and to strengthen the foundation of our business. There are no less than 110 subsidiaries and affiliates all over the world to date.

Demand for plastic molded components and metal stamped components for wiring harnesses will grow as the global production volume of wiring harnesses continues to increase. More advanced functions, shorter lead time, and lower cost are required for these components to meet the customers' needs. To achieve all of these, it is necessary to fabricate molds for components more effectively using advanced technologies.

Previously SWS was in charge of component design, and SWS and component manufacturing subsidiaries and affiliates were in charge of fabricating or procuring molds. After the establishment of the new company, however, SWS consigns component design to the new company, and they perform all mold production phases, including design, fabrication, procurement, and maintenance of molds used in SWS subsidiaries and affiliates. This makes it possible to fabricate quality molds effectively in a short period. We also aim to strengthen mold related technologies, provide quick response to variations in component demand, and provide other advantages, such as cost reduction.
