Participating in Volunteer Beach Cleaning

Sumitomo Wiring Systems participated in a volunteer cleaning activity at Yoshizaki Beach in Yokkaichi City on August 1. This activity is organized by the Yokkaichi Sea Turtle Preservation Association, and aims to help sea turtles lay their eggs more easily by cleaning obstacles such as trash and driftwood from the beach.

A total of forty-four Sumitomo Wiring Systems employees and their family members took part in the activity. Early in the morning, together with many people from the local community, they cleaned the beach for about one hour and the beach became unrecognizably clean in a very short time.

We will continue contributing to local environmental preservation as a member of the community by participating in these kinds of activities in the future.
