Exchange activities through dietary education with elementary school
On June 8, SWS implemented dietary education activities at the Meisei Elementary School in Suzuka City, located near the Suzuka Plant, SWS. These activities are intended to have children experience "local production for local consumption" by planting and raising vegetables themselves to avoid developing likes and dislikes about food.
53 students in the 3rd grade participated in these activities. After an employee from the Suzuka Plant explained about "local production for local consumption" and the method of planting and raising vegetables, the students planted tomatoes and green peppers, because it was found in a preliminary questionnaire that many students dislike these vegetables.
We will continue to be actively involved in enhancing communication throughout the area as a member of the local community.
