Enhancing Automotive Wiring Harness Production in Indonesia
Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. (SEI) and Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd. (SWS) will enhance the automotive wiring harness business with the establishment of a new plant in Indonesia.
SEI and SWS have supplied wire harness products to automakers around the world. The recent progress in motorization has boosted auto production in Indonesia. In light of this, SEI and SWS have decided to establish a new plant in the site of PT. Sumi Indo Wiring Systems, their manufacturing base in Indonesia, during the fiscal years 2012 and 2013. The company plans to triple the current production capacity in the fiscal year 2015.
We will continue to build production systems in optimal locations on a global scale to attentively meet our customers' needs.
