We strive to make Sumitomo Wiring Systems' products, including wiring harnesses and component parts, environmentally friendly to both the Earth and people.

Increasing Certified Environmentally Conscious Products

The SWS Group established the ‘Eco Symbol Mark Certification System (certification system for environmentally conscious products)’ based on the SWS original standard in May 2005 to ‘contribute to global environmental preservation through products’. The ‘Product Special Committee’, established in the company-wide Environmental Management Committee, plays a central role in certifying products.
13 environmentally conscious items were selected for certification based on the “ISO14021 (JISQ14021) Self-declared environmental claims (Type II environmental labeling)”.
Strengthening Alliance with Suppliers

We promote "Green Procurement" where we preferentially purchase materials from suppliers that are aggressively working on environmental activities.
